Terms & Conditions
These terms explain the rules for using Teaching Takes Heart, purchasing credits or subscriptions, and using the classroom resources you unlock.
Last updated September 11, 20261. Who the site is for
Teaching Takes Heart is designed for adult educators and customers age 18 or older. It is not directed to children, and children should not create accounts or make purchases.
2. Your account
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your password, and keeping access to your account reasonably secure. Resources, credits, and purchase history are tied to the account that received them.
3. Credits and resource value
Teaching Takes Heart credits are store credits used only to unlock eligible Teaching Takes Heart resources. They are not cash, stored-value bank accounts, gift cards, or legal tender and cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred between customers unless Teaching Takes Heart expressly allows it. Think of 1 credit as about $1 of resource value; your actual cost per credit varies by pack or subscription.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
One-time credit packs are charged when ordered. Monthly memberships are charged on the recurring schedule shown at checkout and provide the stated credits after each successful payment. Annual memberships are paid up front and release credits monthly across the prepaid term. Subscription-member top-ups are available only while the current subscription period is eligible.
5. Cancellation
Canceling a subscription stops future renewals. It does not remove resources already unlocked or credits already issued. Monthly cancellation stops future unpaid membership allocations. For an annual prepaid term, scheduled credit releases for the already-paid term continue after renewal is turned off.
13. Digital resource license
Each purchased or unlocked resource is licensed to one individual teacher for use with that teacher’s own classroom or students. You may print, display, and use the resource for your own instructional purposes. You may not share the digital files with colleagues, post them publicly or on shared drives for others, resell them, redistribute them, upload them to public websites, or claim the work as your own. Additional teachers should obtain their own license unless a separate multi-user license is offered.
13. Intellectual property
Teaching Takes Heart resources, site content, branding, graphics, text, and downloadable materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Buying or unlocking a resource gives you a limited classroom-use license; ownership of the underlying intellectual property remains with Teaching Takes Heart or the applicable rights holder.
13. Refunds
Digital products and credits are generally non-refundable once delivered, added to an account, spent, or used to unlock a resource. Duplicate charges, verified technical failures, or other exceptional circumstances may be reviewed individually under our Refund & Subscription Policy.
13. Site availability and acceptable use
Please do not misuse the site, interfere with security, attempt to bypass resource ownership or download controls, scrape protected materials, share credentials for the purpose of avoiding license requirements, or use the service unlawfully. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the platform, other customers, or our rights.
13. Third-party services
The site relies on third-party services for hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, and related operations. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
13. Disclaimers and limitation
Teaching resources are provided for educational use and professional judgment remains with the educator. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teaching Takes Heart is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the site or resources. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
13. Changes
We may update these terms as the store, laws, or services change. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where another law must apply.
