Addition with regrouping can be a difficult skill to master and students need a lot of practice. Once students no longer need to use models and pictures to add double digit numbers and they understand the concept of regrouping, they can then use the standard algorithm in order to add numbers.
Give your students the chance to practice this skill with these worksheets. Included in this packet are three teaching guides, which can be used as a resource to teach students the steps of how to solve addition problems by using the standard algorithm. One of the teaching guides shows the steps of how to solve addition problems that do not require regrouping. The other two teaching guides show the steps of how to solve addition problems that do require regrouping. There are also two practice pages which provide students with more guided support with and without regrouping. Plus, there are 20 more pages provided for independent practice. Answer keys are included for easy grading.
